A catch-all mailbox receives email messages sent to inactive email addresses under the same domain. For example, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get email messages from friends or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be sent to a third-party mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting
Setting up a catch-all e-mailbox will be surprisingly easy in case you have a shared hosting with our company. You can enable this option through our powerful, yet easy-to-use Email Manager tool, which is integrated into the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll manage the hosting account itself. You’ll find all the mailboxes that you’ve set up displayed alphabetically and to the right of each one of them there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously show you if a certain mailbox gets all the emails pertaining to a given domain or not. With a single mouse click on the icon you can enable or disable this feature whenever you like. If there’s active email forwarding or if a different mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a certain domain name, you will receive a warning from our system. The latter will not replace/disable anything automatically and without your approval.
